Multiple save files in a pokémon game?

I'm searching for a application that I could use to have more than one save file in a GBA VC game, sadly Checkpoint only works for 3DS store games and GB/GBC VCs, so I can't use them. I tried using one called SaveDataFiler but I couldnt understand what to do and there was no guide, it was also old(from 2016) but that's not necessarily an issue
If you use multiple save files in a GBA game on the 3DS please tell me what you chose, I'm having a hard time

Just run the game with open_agb_firm that is the easiest way to have multiple saves for gba games on 3ds

There is a Godmode9 script that is useful for managing VC saves.

But as mentioned, it is easier to use open_agb_firm, which stores save data on the SD card directly.
