I've followed everything but whenever I move my game (which works on external HDD) to internal it becomes unplayable. I'm not sure if I'm missing a step I tried everything to the best of my ability:

Games moved:
1. TLOU2 remastered PS5 - Was working when it was still in external drive.
2. Hogwarts Legacy PS5 - Super laggy and unplayable at Fidelity, that's why I decided to test if it improves when I move it inside.

Console:
PS5 Phat (not sure if this is relevant)

Destination folder:
/data/etaHEN/PS5/

Steps done:
1. Removed Virtual App after moving from external
2. started PS5 App in itemzflow
3. Changed App Path to /data/etaHEN/PS5/<game name folder> (No errors shown)
4. Override Title ID - automatically changes after step 3
5. Launch - Console goes black as if launching the game and gets in there in black screen. console does not freeze you can exit and switch to another game.

After first launch the virtual app re-appears on tile/card with the new path but whether re-launching from PS5 App or Tile itself (all inside itemzflow) it still goes to black I'm suspecting its looking on another directory maybe? the tile shows up in Console's main library as well but launching there doesn't do anything either.

Make sure you're using the latest ItemzFlow version and latest etHEN 2.4b.

Try pressing the PS5 App, Press X on Scan For PS5 Apps, let it scan and add the games to your console, once done and all those games show in the covers section close out of ItemzFlow entirely. Re-open ItemzFlow, go to the game you want transferred, press X, Press X on I/O Options, Press X again to move folders, navigate to the folder you are transferring to, and then once inside the folder press Square up at the top highlighting that location's name. Let it transfer and then once done, do the same for the other game, do not launch them yet. Once everything is done, exit ItemzFlow entirely, start it again, and then try launching the games. They should load. I've just set up jailbreak via Y2JB on 9.60 on a Digital Phat and have been transferring games to both external and internal and for the ones I've tried internally they load just fine this way and transfer pretty fast via USB C and External NVME Enclosure for transfers.

If it doesn't run, load into your PS5 via FTP with FileZilla, go to the folder you are trying to use, edit the Permissions, and set it to 777 and enable recursive folders. Then once done, reboot your PS5, enable jailbreak again, and try to load the game again.

Hi, it's been a while and I've been getting familiarized with the console. I never had a success playing PS5 games internally. I tested Arkanoid coz its the smallest file size moving in, copying, etc. doing everything. from Ghost of T to some list that says it works internal, mine doesn't. I bought my console JB-ed thru Lua Jap BD Ixshetell on etahen 2.3b (which also expires if I put the correct system date). I wanted to update it to etaHEN 2.5B because they say I could update my date 12/28/2025 instead of 2024. But I can't find the right way to do it. When I load the BD the path says mnt/sandbox/CUSA17112_000/savedata0/elfldr.elf

but I can't navigate to that path (it doesn't exist) whenever I use PS5 Explorer by Lapy

Also, 7 times out of 10 when I start the BD exploit, it hangs or reboots my PS5 which makes it rebuild the storage(I think its gonna hurt my console in the long run) So I'm just thinking up upping my 9.6 to 11 and try the Y2JB. I bought this JB-ed without a youtube app in it so I'm not so sure where to start.

Just a question about external hdds.

Would a USB-C USB 3.1 Gen 2 be ok to run PS5 games.

Im looking to buy at least a 10TB external drive, but before I do i just want to make sure the PS5s USB C port will be ok to run PS5 games.

I tried a smaller drive I had that was USB 3.2 (I think) that had normal USB male connector to the console and to the drive it had like a fat connection thats split in two (one big and one smaller).

It ran PS5 games ok, but i think it wasn't fast enough because I played Dead Space and it worked ok (just a little slow), but now if i try play, where its start screen is, it takes you right back into action.

All I get is a black screen, but I can hear everything as if the game is playing.

So I assume it be down to the USB drive not been fast enough to read/write.

So i wonder if getting one thats USB C be faster and better for running PS5 games from.

Thanks.

PS5 games work from external USB only right now. Internal SSD installs aren’t fully supported yet, even if itemzflow lets you move them. Black screen = normal behavior at this stage.

I recently bought PS5 and NVMe Gen 4 internal ssd with USB 3.2 Gen 2 enclosure. I loaded all my games on this USB drive. Astro bot, Black Myth and Sackboy was stuttering a lot. I couldn't play and ultimately it used to crash.
Then I transferred these games to internal storage of PS5, now they load super fast and run absolutely smooth. I am gonna fit this SSD inside PS5 as extended storage, which will work much better.

Hello. Which brand and model of NVME USB 3.2 Gen 2 enclosure are you using? The one I have doesn't work (it is a usb 3.1 gen 2).

Thanks

I"m having trouble copying large games onto my NVME in the PS5. It keeps shutting off.
