I don't. But I can add that.

I read this: "IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL PRIILOADER ONLY ON A WII WITH ONLY UNMODIFIED IOSs!"

I don't know if I have an unmodified IOSs. :P

to know which IOS you have you can launch syscheck homebrew, it will check all your system files and generate a log.
follow the guide in my signature and post the result here, we will tell you if they are patched or not and if priiloader install is fine or not.

you are fine to install priiloader.
you can see, all slot number below 200 are either "no patches" (good original IOS), stub (officially canceled by nintendo, dummy system file doing nothing), or USB2.0 (IOS 58 from nintendo is officially supporting USB2.0, no patch needed).

All slots above 200 are custom system files, or action taken from nintendo to prevent people from using them by replacing with stub version.
222/223 : stub (piracy prevention, does nothing, nintendo expected to replace previous patched IOS files located here with empty useless data)
249/250 : the actual cIOS used by USBLoaders to play wii games from USB.
254 : bootmii slot, here stub by nintendo.
BC (Backward Compatible) : the system file to put the console in gamecube mode (official)
MIOS : the system file used by gamecube games (official)

I would recommend to install bootmii as IOS, as it can help you one day. you can run hackmii installer from HBC, then select bootmii as IOS.
Bootmii is used to make NAND dump full backup/restoration of the console's memory. in case of brick you can recover your console by rewriting the backup, or using keys to generate a new clean one.
bootmii can also be used to launch neek (an emuNAND feature). If you don't know or understand what it is, don't worry about it.

edit : seeing your drive is from 2007, you should even be able to install bootmii in boot2 (instead of IOS), which is the best brick protection you can have.
if you don't have it yet, from hackmii installer choose both installation of bootmii @ boot2 and as IOS.

Thanks!

Can I install Priiloader, move the disc channel and then remove Priiloader from the SD?

I'm making this for a non-technical friend. :D

Priiloader is not a homebrew located on the SD card, it's actually taking place of the system menu (fully replacing it).

Boot -> system menu
Boot -> priiloader (hidden) -> system menu

Priiloader is putting itself between console boot and the system menu (taking its place, and renaming the original system menu to still boot it automatically, except if you press Reset at boot)

if you do it for a friend, it's a good practive to keep priiloader ! it's acting as a semi-brick prevention tool.
if your friend do anything wrong on the system menu (like installing a bad game preventing the menu from loading) you'll have access to priiloader to edit and fix his console.

What you can do is enable patches to move the channel, then return to priiloader (press reset at console boot) and disable the patches.
you'll see, there are other useful patches, like region free, or disable savegame copy protection. these ones should be useful for your friend.
There is also an option to automatically boot something else than the system menu. for example, you can "lock" the console into USBLoader mode. Boot -> usbloader -> exit game -> return to USBLoader. if it tries to go to system menu it force a return to USBLoader too, and the user never see the system menu nor Homebrew channel so he can't mess the console's hack.

Once priiloader is installed on the console, you can of course delete the installer from the SD card so your friend doesn't try to re-run the installer. Priiloader will still be present on the console.

Thanks once again! :)

I want to keep the original start menu, since I have forwarders to NES, SNES and N64 there.

But I think I got some answers now. =)

Hopefully she will not mess anything up. :P

You should always install priiloader as it provides a little bit of brick protection, even more so if you can't install bootmii into boot2.

When you install priiloader you can have it still boot to the system menu and you won't even notice that priiloader is installed.

How can I edit the settings in Priiloader? I try to enter "system hacks" or something, but I only get an error message.

Maybe you forgot to put the hacks.ini (or something like that) on SD card ?
priiloader uses an external file to read all the possible hacks values, as they are specific to the system menu version you are using.
if you are using 4.3, you need the corresponding hacks file.
I don't remember if all the ini files for all version/region are provided with priiloader, or you have to get them individually. I guess using modmii to generate a softmod guide is easier as it'll get and provide you the proper ini file. if not using modmii, try to find the ini file you need.

You need the hacks_hash.ini in the apps/priiloader folder on the SD Card.

I can post you mine but i´m not sure it works for all PAL Wii´s.

You download the file from the link from @jeanotte above.
Unpack it to your HDD and get the file from the folder Priiloader_hacks/4_x/4_3.
That file copy to apps/priiloader on your SD Card.
