Here's some new footage of the Nintendo DS platformer adventure game Monster Tale. It was shown at Gamescom, but only offscreen footage is available at this time, no direct feed, so sorry for the quality.

Monster Tale is an adventure style 2D platformer with Metroid-like exploration. It is also developed by the creators of Henry Hatsworth and seems to be using some similar art style to that game. Not very much is known about the game, but it also contains some abilities which can be leveled up. If the quality of the game is similar to Henry Hatsworth, gamers should be in for a treat. Should be another solid 2D platformer! [/p]

I will tell you right now though that a specific release date has not yet been announced. IGN has it listed as December, the guy in the video says fall, so i don't know which is right. It should be released this year regardless though. And he also says it's on Wii which i'm pretty sure is NOT true, so take that with several grains of salt. It's supposed to be a DS exclusive.

It just looks like a reskinned Henry Hatsworth.
Well you're partially right. It shares the same kind of graphical style. But the similarities in gameplay end with the basic form of platforming. No more puzzles and levels are open world apparently. Not as linear anymore. We'll see what else they have in store. This game has been in development for quite some time. I think i first reported about it last year...

This sounds good.

I will download purchase this legally when the time comes.

Pretty much this and Batman are the only DS games I actually want right now, others I just have a passing interest.
