Hacking Modchip Info (ALL)

hi all just a few questions aimed at ALL modchips and nothing specific.

are modchips reversible if something better comes along ?
after modding can i still update with an official disc from the same region without bricking my wii and killing any modchips ?
can i still play originals after modding ?

and lastly which is the best modchip ?

Link459, don't be so sure at the first and third question. It's very difficult to reverse if you used the quicksolder method (I highly discourage the quicksolder method myself), and the Wiikey cannot play an original of Brawl.

In my opinion the best modchip is YAOSM, both in terms of price and performance.

In my opinion, OpenWii/Wiikey are just fine. They're the same price as YAOSM.

WiiKey is a commercial chip and is a lot more expensive. An opensource modchip like yaosm/openwii will cost you a lot less.
