Hey guys I got a little bit of a issue. So I have Minecraft Windows 10 on a PC and it it fails to start. Just opens and closes. I tried looking around and found that it may be a GPU issue. I tried disabling it with no luck. The only things I think could be causing it is that the PC was imaged from another computer and that this PC is offline. (It has to stay offline for educational and security reasons as it is at a school) there could be a bunch of reasons that this isn't working but I wanted to see if anyone had any trouble shooting tips.

If anyone doesn't know the error I'm describing ill try and upload a video about it and paste it here for reference.

Hi ! I hope it's not too late :)
But I recommend you to reinstall the game, you can copy the com.mojang folder if you don't want to lose you world it's in
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\

I had this problem, and it was very annoying :/
Try to delete the game cache (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache), delete all the folder content. Even if I don't think that this will resolve problems

Ok ! A method that can be efficient will be that :
  • Goto Notepad (in admin mode it's important else you'll no be able to goto the WindowsApps folder), and click on Open > File
  • Goto
    Code:
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ (In the file picker)
  • Find
    Code:
    Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_1.16.4002.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
folder and copy and paste on your desktop
  • Open a powershell as admin on your desktop and enter
    Code:
    cd Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_1.16.4002.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
  • Then enter
    Code:
    Add-AppxPackage -register appxmanifest.xml
  • Normally it install the game
  • Then type Minecraft on the start menu and the game should start
If it doesn't work, delete
Code:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\
(Not the LocalCache, the folder itself)
And if it doesn't work too, it may be a GPU/RAM issue. Minecraft requires at least 4GB of RAM and for GPU I think it's Intel HD Graphics 2500 (because I have this integrated gpu and it's working very well with no lags and shaders)

Do you think it could be a licensing issue? I did legally pay for the game I just downloaded it before I made the image that was put on this computer. The computer has never been on the internet while the image is on it.

No because if it was licencing issue, the game will simply be in trial :)
Even if the computer is offline, I don't know how but the game can know if the licence is valid (if you have connected your account at least once).

I think it's for another app, because Minecraft bedrock was programmed in C++, so no .NET :)
But install if you can, even if I know that you can't have access to internet

Oh yes I forgot ! Uninstall Minecraft before enter this command, it will install without problems next :)
EDIT: After installation, don't delete the folder from your desktop, else it will not launch anymore, so put the Minecraft folder in a destination that you want and register here.

I know how to turn on developer options. But the needed "package" can't be downloaded.

EDIT: Turned in devliper mode and got the same error.
