but my wii has hombrew channel on it.and my wii firmwarre is old, way old from like 1-2 years ago, so it's not up to date. can i delete the hombrew channel, put disk in, update wii (if it does automatically), then re-intall it again? is there more to it? does the latest firmware prevent it?

yes, you can install hoembrew channel on the latest firmware, although the method will be different. I recommend updating your Wii first wiht tthe method detailed in this guide:

Also tells you how to install HBC on 4.2

Great game by the way, have fun

Are you gonna buy or it or use other terms? You could use Neogamma to boot TvsC without worrying about updates.

True Dat. I used that to get around Sonic and the Black Knight when I got it for my Bday last year.

so if my hbc is the latest version, then i update my wii to the latest version, it wont get bricked or deleted?

& i wanna buy the game, i only pirate handheld/old games

The HBC will get deleted if you update. You don't need to update. Just run the game through Neogamma or even Gecko to prevent the update. But you might be missing the IOS' to run the game though.

so if i put the disc in, i just use neogamma somehow and it will run fine without needing updates?

It should. I run NMH 2 through uLoader (since my current cIOS rev breaks NeoGamma) and it gets around the inherent update.
