What you mean by "maximum clocks" and are you sure those clocks are actually applied?

Why are you people so afraid of providing actual numbers? 😮‍💨

There are stutters in the camera fly moment when save loaded. In some places wores in some better. Dock mod. Non DR patch. With DR patch everything is ok. And its not About OC, I've tried maximum clocks and still stutters

I noticed the camera fly by stutter after save, slowdowns in that weird "realm" without any walls, and a few other places. This was with 1963/998/1996. Max by default using EOS-thingy.

Being new to OC, i dwelled deeper, and realized I could push it a bit further since I'm using an OLED Switch. Also figured CPU OC was unnecessary high.

After opening up for higher RAM clocks, the camera flyby after save stutter was gone. Have not noticed any other stutters since this. Currently using 1785/998/2133.

Excellent mod, no stutters when using 1024/998/2400 (both docked and portable), I didn't need to overclock CPU, I imagine that ram is the most important thing for the stability of this game. The consumption of this game does not more than 5.5w when using this overclock and ReverseNX docked Mode on handheld.

Would it be possible to create a version with fixed 720p for Docked Mode?

I noticed that the game does not benefit so much from supersampling when playing with ReverseNX Docked mode on the handheld, but the game has noticeable graphic differences with the LOD and lighting between Docked mode and Handheld mode, it would be interesting to take advantage of the graphic benefits of docked mode, but with a correct resolution for handheld. With this overclock and 720p in Handheld mode, the game consumes less than 4W. In this way, those who prefer to play in Handheld will be able to have a crisp and clear game, with improved graphics, and low battery consumption.

Apparently the graphic settings are tied to the resolution, the lighting, terrain, texture and anisotropic filter improvements do not appear with Docked mode in 720p, only in Docked mode 1080p, but the Docked mode in 720p still benefits with less pop in and better LOD.

I did it for myself, but I will share it here too.

Mod that increases resolution of docked mode to 1080p and handheld to 720p. Also disables dynamic resolution (for this thanks to @fl4sh_ )

Compatible only with 1.1.0.

Instructions:
Put folder "atmosphere" to root of sdcard, merge folders, run game. For emulator mods look at @fl4sh_ mods.

Overclocking obviously is required.

If zip name starts with:
- "MetroidPrime4NativeResolutionMod" - fixed 720p handheld, 1080p docked, no dynamic resolution (except for when using psychic visor in docked mode, then resolution drops to 864p). (requires setting RAM to 2133/2400 MHz to solve problems with stuttering in docked mode.)
- "WithDR-MetroidPrime4NativeResolutionMod" - As above but Dynamic Resolution is not blocked
- "Fixed720p-MetroidPrime4NativeResolutionMod" - Fixed 720p with no Dynamic Resolution in both handheld and docked mode. Made on request to use docked's better graphics settings with ReverseNX-RT in handheld native resolution.

No mod handheld / mod 720p:

no mod docked downscaled to 720p / mod 1080p downscaled to 720p:
View attachment 543089 View attachment 543090

Changelog:
- V3 (04.12.2025) - fixed issues with psychic visor crashing game in specific places and white lines appearing in wrong places.
- V4 (04.12.2025) - fixed an issue in variant with no dynamic resolution where when using psychic visor it was lowering resolution to 562p in handheld, 810p in docked.
- V5 (04.12.2025) - temporarily bringed back dynamic resolution for Psychic visor because it was breaking scanning. Investigating further where are original values stored.
- V6 (04.12.2025) - Dynamic resolution for psychic visor is now blocked only in handheld mode. In Docked mode it's now 864p. Issue occurs when resolution is 900p or higher.
muchas gracias amigo

jugarlo en 720 es mejor que 900 en portatil

Converted to IPS(mod from fl4sh_ GitHub), just put the folder inside /exefs_patches
It worked here, better together with the 720p Docked mod (ReverseNX) for handheld.

The graphic improvement is notable, but I don't know if it works with 1080p mod without crashing.

Has anyone made a mod to fun this in 4K?

Hey do you do commissions? I'm just trying to get MP4 to run 4k in emulator, I can just use 2x or 3x scaling and it looks fantastic, but the scanner won't work when using scaling for some reason in Vulkan, works with OpenGL but that runs poorly. I don't wanna buy a Switch 2 just wanna do a one and done with this game I'm a longtime fan so willing to commission a mod that either fixes scanner or runs game native 4K with hopes that scanner will work if it's native and not scaled if native is even possible.
Masa is focused on Switch, and the emulator mods are available in my github.

After testing a lot, I had crashes with the fixed 1080p version of the mod, but I didn't have a crash with the 1080p DR version of the mod (The resolution is at 1728x960 in majority of the game, but it doesn't crash, even when using it with the better LOD mod).

Would it be possible to create a version with DR locked in portable mode for 720p and Docked mode with 1080P DR? I believe it is the most stable mode, without crash, and even with DR activated the resolution is above 900p in Dock.

In addition with Better LOD mod of fl4sh_, it would be great to have 720p fixed on handheld and high resolution in Dock, but without crashes.

It would be a lot better if you could provide save where crash happens.

I've already advanced a lot in the game, but I'll start a new game to get to the part where this crash occurs, and then I'll share the save here. The crash occurs with me more than once just before the bossfight with Carvex (Fury green), in the map region where the engineer stands still. The crash also occurred during the bossfight with Psy-Bot(the one that teleports) (Volt Forge).

I arrived at the part where the crash occurred to me twice before (base camp at fury green). I don't know which action or set of actions that makes the crash occur, I can't intentionally cause it in the new save-game (tried 30 minutes doing random actions in the place where the crash occurred twice before). Maybe the crash occurs only after a long period of gameplay. I will continue my main save-game in fixed 1080p and share the save-game when a crash occurs again.

I think you gotta find another hobby than wasting time here...

Srry, i was too lazy for screenshots
:shy: But I've learned the lesson. By the way, it doesn't matter for now cause i've found what was the issue. My emunand file based partition. So, my bad. Looks like the game itself heavily depends on fast file streaming. So that what caused stutters in exact places. In raw partition type everything works like charm.

Hi, I have a Switch 1 v2 (Mariko) and in the system configuration, it only shows a maximum of 1789MHz for CPU, 980MHz for GPU, and 1600MHz for RAM. I don't know how to increase the RAM to 2133 or 2400MHz because the game runs at 60fps at 1080p, but it drops to 30fps during cutscenes, save points, and boss fights.

The options you have depend on what overclocking setup you have and how you set it up.
If you use OC Switchcraft, the included package lets you set up the max available overclock for RAM.
https://github.com/halop/OC-Switchcraft-EOS/releases

Some guides.
https://rentry.co/howtoget60fps
https://rentry.co/mariko/

I recommend installing everything one by one, making sure you got the latest versions.
OC Switchcraft itself bundles some of the other stuff and it should be the latest versions at the moment, but it's better to check everything yourself.

I just want to increase the RAM frequency because currently the CPU is at 1200 MHz and the GPU at 980 MHz, which is fine, but the RAM is limited to 1600MHz, all at maximum temperatures of 47°C.
