I hope something comes of this, id love to finally put Gateway3DS to rest; dont trust those guys.
a real rom loader would be sweet.

Don't expect a loader from the main 3ds devs. They've stated that they're strongly against piracy. Probably quicker to just code one yourself if you don't want to buy a GW.
Can't believe it. All you can see from this is a ROM loader? If that's all you should stick to flashcards.

Help! It's not working for me :( after the "An Error has occurred" messages, the 3DS reboots, then I turn it off to check my SD card and no ram dump so far :/

fiercewaffles rop loader seems to be a bit picky. i wasn't able to get it to run reliably yet, too.

just use the alternate rop loader snailface linked to a few posts ago (http://gbatemp.net/threads/homebrew-development.360646/page-7#post-4891470). it will overwrite your complete DS profile but it did the job for me.

Hate to be posting on an ageing thread, but I have a new 4.1 3DS, and I'm looking into dumping and researching some RAM, however, it only dumps 3MB of RAM before crashing and restarting. Any reasons as to why? I've tried both launchers, and they both do the same.

Are you using this? Waffle's RAM dumper is userland (3MBs) only. The error/reset is how it normally works.

If Kane49's dumper is the one you're using, its likely a firm compatabilty issue. Kane uses 4.5 I think.
