Hi GBAtemp. User @shutterbug2000 has found a way to merge two badge datas to essentially give yourself the badges of another player that has made their files publicly available. In this tutorial, we'll be using @Februarysn0w's badges (he/she has collected over 900 badges).

1. Open the target's BadgeMngFile.dat and yours in a hex editor of your choice. (HxD is preferred)

2. Copy from 0x0 to 0xc (ctrl+g "C"; hex checked) from the target and then pastewrite the strings onto your file.

3. CTRL+G to "3E8" and select everything starting from there to the end of the file and pastewrite it to yours once again. (Alternatively, you can copy from 0x1C to 0x20 from your file and then pastewrite the strings onto the target. Using this method, you can skip step 2 and 3. Then simply copy the target file to your 3DS)

4. Save the edited BadgeMngFile.dat.

5. Copy the modified BadgeMngFile.dat and the target's BadgeData.dat onto your SD card and import them.

EDIT: A lot of people don't know what to use. If you're a CFW user, use SaveDataFiler. If you're a *hax user, use ext_data dump tool or Sunshell by Rinnegatamante.

Even if you did find out how to create the right badge data files for a system with the Badge Arcade, how would you be able to put it into the ExtData?

I'm sure adding extdata wouldn't be too difficult.

I'm wondering if theres any extdata that is not the badge arcade that stores NNID, like the theme shop maybe? (if it even has extdata similar)

Can anyone list what pokemon badges (if any) are on @Februarysn0w's data? I'd love to have more Pokemon badges than I have already, but I don't wanna lose the hard earned ones I have now... (abra family, charizard/charmeleon, rayquaza, deoxys-n and deoxys-a,also not screaming olimar, couple pikmin, etc)

yup already did that

so i did all steps in the cfw version of the video in the op and i only ended up with 259 badges about 200 more than i had so but i also have no clue what i did wrong i mean 200 is not 900


if it matters in the past i used the jap version and now when i start the usa badge arcade it repairs data every time

thats why i was excited copying my files id into his sounds even more likely to work

youre not supposed to launch NBA once you hack your badges, and you probably used the wrong save file.

ok so now i got like 930 something badgey but . . . i don't seem to have my badges like i did before (when i opened the app) and i am now conflicted (i need my pokemon badges back but would like to keep Februarysnows as well)
edit: i guess i will just restore my backup

what MIGHT work is opening the badge center with february's badges installed. then win a new badge and it'l merge your and his badges. that's how it works for me anyway. then upload your new merged savedata here so i can steal your pokemons thanks! mwhaha.

the game tells me there is a problem with my save data and repairs it every time i start nba (i used the jap badge center before its world release) and if i use feb's badge files like in the video when i open the app it also tells me that my badge data needs to be updated when it completes i have 259 badges
