Gaming Mario paper - should I start all over again :-(

I am at the second Water temple where you have to find and solve puzzles.

I found the first missing puzzle piece with a running crab, I believe I am supposed to engage into a fight with him but instead I used Star cheat to instant kill mobs.... now I crab is dead but I didnt get the piece... it disappeared and no matter how many times I restart my save I still cant find it :-( help

If no crabs are running with the puzzle piece then you re pretty much fucked, unless there is a cheat to add it to your inventory or complete the puzzle.

I was thinking of a cheat to add the piece. I would do it myself but I really dont know how to create cheats.

The name of missing piece is called "Groovy Panel" under Useful items.

Please anyone help... I wish I could do it myself but no idea how

I know, all I wanted is to save myself from going into unnecessary battle. I have limited time to play and the battle mode gets boring oh well

I got this save right before the boss fight if that helps

Otherwise use the moon cheat and fly/jump the hill upto the entrance where the wolf and bear are and continue ur Story

Im having the same issue as you =( are you able to have any progress?
