First of all i need help

Im doing Thief Story and up to
Chapter 10..
Im in Ludbrium now and in the clock tower and dont know what
to do.I've been in most of the portals but some of the portals have obstacal to past like:
Theres a swicth and like a little gap with an escalator thing 1st Picture:
2nd Picture is the end of the clock tower with a golden door.Before that there was purple doors and i opened them somehow LOL.When i open
the purple doors its like my avatar puts a pin code in the pad next to the door.
