Hacking Making WAD Files

Just curious, the most recent WAD Maker programs I've seen are really old and don't work anymore.

Is there a current way to make WAD files out of installed channels? I prefer making my own dumps and reinstalling them than having to resort to piracy

Something that uses AHBPROT maybe?

you can either use Wiimod latest v3 support AHBPROT
or use an old trick WAD Creator application with either cIOS v14 or 17 in slot 249

option 1 creates a subfolder in wad folder while option 2 creates the files in the SD root

there's also an app that converts downloaded channels and channels copied to SD to wad files but I didn't test it
(sorry forgot the name but this app was modded by damysteryman)

If that can make WADs, that'll work. I don't really care where it places them on the SD, I can move them on my computer.

Also, how do you make the WADs "console free", or basically like the pirated ones where you can install them on any system? I ask because I now have my Wii and Wii U's vWii so obviously one would not work with the other unless I do that.

yes this tool.
To make them free use showmiiwads to make'em region free or any other tools that can do same thing like wadmii or wwpacker etc...
