A few years back a family friend set up a router with a WEP key, however, since then I've lost the sheet and he's forgotten the key. zQuestion is can I create a connection without a key so I can play online?

can reset the router to factory default by holding the reset button, other then that i dont know how else you can recover your key, oh you could log into admin and check key there, if no password to admin i'd just reset the router.

alternative method is use the port in the back of the router no auth needed

I forgot to add that the user/pass for router was changed, to God knows what and if i reset it, it would mean I would have to reconfig another connection for my brother, no?

PS which port is that?

EDIT -- Found a ntwork key that worked, connection worked when I tested. But now nothing will connect?

those ethernet ports on back of the router for cabled connections

and if you reset everything you have to setup the router again, write the password/wep key on the router on post it or on a sheet of paper under the router

turn the wep-key settings off, for some reason i dont think the nds/wii can pickup on the wep key you entered so it just cancles the data transfer.
