Hacking Mai Dump Tool problem

Mai is crashing on the list of games when so many titles are installed so i can't change game loading method.
Can i use something different app or change loading method by myself in any config file?

NO (go through your game folders in the APP folder, i think that is where they are, add the number "1" behind the mai dump folders, so mai dump does not add those games to your list of changing the boot options then the program will not crash.

when your finished adding more games, remove all the number "1", that you added. Mai Dump will show about 15 games in the change boot options before it crashes, install about 15 to 20 games add the number 1 in the name of the mai dump folders, and then install again and repeat the process until everything is finished then remove all the number 1 you added to the name of the mai dump folders (the games need those folders to start, with their regular names)

I know this is a crazy idea, but has anyone got a hold of the source code for mai? It shouldn't be that hard to fix that too many games bug, but i can't seem to locate the source anywhere.

(the limit for the amount of boot change options it can display for games with a "mai dump" folder, appears to match the number of items in the context manager screen, once you open it up (total item entries, not total selectable items entries)

(I can only guess, mai dump is hooking itself to an existing limited size database and then rewriting something, in real time to show those boot option values from the "mai dump" folders it does read, when it goes beyond the buffer length it then crashes)

(may require a lot of leg work versus doing something simply as rename the mai dump folder by adding a 1 behind it or something so the program can't read it.............rather than extensively modifying the firmware, and possibly impacting other features just for one program)

I think it's best to wait for NoNpDrm to be released now, as there are already Venom and PSiCO scene dumps out there that will make use of this plugin. Plus, no doubt there will be a new flood of dumps again.

Mai is dead and will never see any further fixes from the dev or anyone else, until the source is released. Until then, make do for now and wait for better tools.
