'MAG 2' listed by Walmart

A listing for "MAG 2" has popped up on Walmart's site, brandishing a $60 price tag and a tentative release date of January 25, 2011. This is the first we've heard of a sequel to this year's 256-player online shooter MAG, but the very fact that it's listed leads us to believe something is in the works.

Could it be a re-released version of MAG packing in all of the DLC? Perhaps a repackaging with PlayStation Move support? Only time will tell.[/p]

The original MAG is an uninspired, cluster f*** mess. I guess PS3 devs are just going to crap out a new rehashed sequel every single year, just like most of the major PlayStation franchises for the past 15 years. (There are 9 Ratchet and Clank Games, 5 Twisted Metal games were released in under 4 years, etc.)

I guess PS3 devs are just going to crap out a new rehashed sequel every single year, just like most of the major PlayStation franchises for the past 15 years. (There are 9 Ratchet and Clank Games, 5 Twisted Metal games were released in under 4 years, etc.)

There is so much wrong with this... MAG wasn't exactly the best game ever but you can't generalize all PS3 devs just from one game, and if you want to complain about a sequel every year look at sports games and most Activision franchises, not PS3 exclusive devs.

Well, I wouldn't really call MAG a big series game, I mean it tried to be a topper to all those FPS games by being "OMG GIGANTIC COMBAT" but the reviews were pretty average. Sony also has Resistance and Killzone as their exclusive FPS games, both of which are getting pretty large followings and receptions. Not sure why they'd make another FPS game personally. And people say the Xbox is a FPS machine...

But yeah, he trolls most every thread just from observation.
