Hacking M3 not loading GBA games ? Help

I have a ds lite and M3/passcard. DS games run fine. When I try to run GBA games with the passcard out get nothing but a black screen after GAmeboy screen. I have the rom in a GBA directory that I made. Should it be somewhere else ??? or is it the version or something needs change.
Any help would be nice. have to get this running asap.
