Hardware Lowest cost/gb for HDDs?

Any better ratios for other HDDs (or other storage devices, for that matter?)

You might be able to do better with tape, though I am a few years out on what tape is doing right now.
Equally if you are up for making a massive array then some of the old SSDs with abysmal write speeds were going for next to nothing in a lot of places. That said it would likely still be more than that.

Going further I would happily use that drive as scratch space and for things I don't care about but nothing close to long term storage/expecting reliability.
