Hacking Lost the CD that bundled with R4....

I'm curious if the kernel (rar file) that I can download from the R4 site has EVERYTHING that came on the CD?

You must have been using really outdated firmware

(unless you got it recently)

All you need is the latest kernel and NDSToykyoTrim to trim your ROMS i have never even put the disk in my PC.

I've had the R4 for awhile and I did update the firmware. I recently sold my PSP so my DS is getting more attention now a days. Anyway, I haven't been really keeping up with the homebrew on the DS so I'm quite new to it =)

Have a look around the NDS homebrew download section of GBATemp http://gbatemp.net/index.php?dlcategory=8 Most of the programs will work on the R4. I recommend DSOrganize 3.01 is like a mini PDA it has a web browser, address book, todo list and calender and much more. DSOrganize 3.01

Same here... The CD is useless, just go to www.r4ds.com and download the latest Firmware.

Yea. I used the cd to get it going only because I had no internet connection that day. A few days later I went and got the newest firmware and was going strong.

BTW, If anyone needs updates for anything then take a look at my sig. The linFox Domain entry is a catch all if you need updates to something I don't own.
