really i can do the investigation on the carts myself but im looking for reputable dealers in the UK (so i dont get stung with import duties! again)

gotta decide between
  • R4
  • cyclo evo
  • acekard2
thanks for any suggestions

The Acekard R.P.G. and CycloDS are the best, most expensive options.
Middle-range best option is the Supercard DSONE SDHC
Acekard 2 is cheap and compatible.

As for your choices, the R4 is outdated and expensive. It really depends on how much you want to spend, but If you have the money, I highly recommend an Acekard R.P.G or CycloDS Evolution.

If you're skint, the Acekard2 is fine, but don't expect tons of super-features like the more expensive ones.

You can get Cyclos and Reals from Amazon.co.uk (I study in the UK and got mine there. Cyclo arrived in 3 days), although it's not the cheapest price you can find. Most the sellers there are pretty reliable. You can check the customer reviews to see how good they are.

And for the love of goodness don't get an R4.
