Thanks guys, based on the info I have received, my choices are the: 7770, 7750, 6770, and the GTX 650.

How about we say I'm the end-all for the graphics card debate? (Doesn't matter if its true, but this debate won't go anywhere fast).
I've gone from HD 4870 (my brother still has his 4870X2) to GTX 560 Ti. I've seen both sides.

My first comment, which has been echoed already. Per price point, AMD scores higher framerates in games. This has little to do with drivers and nothing to do with favouritism. The high number of "cores" in AMD graphics cards does lend itself to a greater texture fill rate which is one of the two greatest tasks a graphics card has to perform to achieve high framerates. This is the reason that for gaming exclusive rigs, the HD 7970 is the best card to get. This is the same for multiple screen systems.

That's not to say nVidia can't play games, just that they're built differently. They have less "cores" but a better architecture. They're better at tessellation per tessellation unit on the die and are better suited to graphical geometry (the other great task graphics cards do) and other GPGPU functions. This makes them much better at folding and, with the help of better drivers (AMD aren't bad anymore, but nVidia are better for specialised applications), better at rendering graphical projects too.

In the past, AMD boasted that they could handle the most TeraFLOPs with their HD 4870X2, but GTX 295 still made for the best folding/rendering cards. The difference only became more pronounced with Tessla and Keplar.

Now... This is all academic. The OP can't afford the best. The OP can't even afford the mid-range in graphics cards. So stick to cards he can afford (I won't suggest any second-hand/refurbished cards due to potential problems that may or may not arise) and if you want to argue, back it up with specs, benchmarks, and actual framerate scores in actual games (like Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2).

Can't recommend it. DDR3 really kills the performance. 1 GB GDDR5 is much better than 2 GB DDR3.

Don't look at it from a circle-jerk power perspective. Take into account how fucking cheap that card is, man. Reletavize the performance against the worth, with the needs of the person purchasing--not with what you expect or would want.
