Looking for HDD suggestions

About to mod it up and was wondering if its possible to have one large drive, say 4tb, to have all back ups on it (wii u, wii, gc, wiiware, wii eshop, snes/gen/gba/nes emu).

Keep seeing reports that the wii u can only handle 2tb...?

Was thinking of picking up a WD 3.5 4tb (wd40ezaz) and an external housing to plug in via USB and house all back ups on that.

Wii that be 2TB max as well as Wii U 2TB max and one for Wii and one for Wii U

So what youre saying is I would have to have a separate drive for WIi, Wii U? If so what about Wiiware/eshop/emulators? WiiU has 4 USB slots, so could i have multiple drives plugged into the wiiU?

No 1 drive for Wii/GC and all other Wii things and one for Wii U and back ports and if self usb powered hdd u will need a y-cable
