ROM Hack Local Play not working? ACNH

I dumped my cartridge using NXgameinstaller onto modded switch. I just want to connect from modded switch ACNH to regular switch. I opened gates on my regular switch and as soon as I connect to local, it says "A communicaiton error has occurred". I have the lastest updates, sigpatches, atmosphere 12, cfw 10.0.2 and I'm on emuMMc. Pretty new to this so I'm learning. Thanks for your help.

go to homebrew menu, see if ldn_mitm is turned on, toggle that off, then make sure you are in airplane mode, but wifi on, acnh will turn off internet when it connects to local, but those are the troubleshooting things that had me not connecting when I first started, if wanna be really safe, just dont have a wifi profile made, should still work
