Can't wait for the demo tomorrow

Just a shame it's gonna take a while to download on my internet connection :\.

Anyone know how big the demo is (data-wise)?

Also, why do you have to preorder the game to get the demo? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of the demo, which is to demonstrate how good a game to potential buyers and not people who have already spent money on the game?

I was gonna wait for today for the demo to unlock but I decided to bite the bullet and preorder the game. It is totally worth it and it is awesome gameplay especially with people who have microphones.

Mind you...I feel $45 is quite expensive for this game. I don't think it has the same replayability as Team Fortress 2 which only costs $20. I can picture myself playing Dustbowl and Goldrush thousands of times...but I think I can only picture myself playing No Mercy a hundred times before giving up on it.

I agree completely.

I'll probably just pirate the game when it's leaked and stick to playing cracked servers until the price drops to $20-$30

Like I said before.. it will be worth it, if Valve keeps supporting the game with new maps and updates.. like TF2..

Still the game is fun, it feels like playing old beat'em up games with friends (remember? playing Streets of Rage with a friend? Good times!)

Which is half the price of this game...

$45 is still cheap for a new retail game. Just because Valve spoilt us with its mega-cheap offers on Orange Box and Source games, doesn't mean anything more expensive isn't good value.
That said, I'll still end up waiting for the price to go down.

So annoyed though, the demo's 3.5GB, which is gonna take until tomorrow to download

Got demo last night , not impressed. Didn't seem to grab me , shooting hordes of mindless zombies got old quick , can't see it having lasting appeal. Also valve needs to sort their prices , retail version of the game costs less than buying it on steam

Yeah, totally QFT. Except the whole prices thing isn't Valve's fault, it's the economy's aha.
I'll probably play it a few more times, and see whether it grabs me. If it doesn't, I won't bother buying till it's really cheap.

EDIT:
Play it a couple more times, and you'll be grabbed. I almost couldn't stop playing, and it's only on the one map as well. Playing on the harder difficulties makes sure you stay on your toes too, I found normal to be a bit boring. May well grab this when it comes out

Normal and Adcanced were retarded easy, why do they even need an easy on that list? As long as you have a competent team on Expert the only real threats seemed to be a tank or an unfortunately placed witch. I think they need to bump off easy and give us a higher difficulty level!

the demo of this is win!! too short though!!

me and ORC played. ORC was like "ORCORCORC!!!" and I was all "eeeeeeeeeek" and we killed some zombies!!!

very fun, can't wait to buy

Yeah, you're right, Normal and Advanced are pretty easy after the first couple of games. Expert, however, I found quite difficult. Maybe my team was just retarded, but we spent an hour and a half trying to complete the demo on Expert (and just failed in the end).

Also, there's going to be a harder mode called Impossible anyway.
Totally pre-ordering this, can't wait! Only £20 on Amazon for those in the UK!

my teams always suck, they dont communicate!!

witches are easy, but my teams always make me take them out. the tanks are annoying because I always get stuck by the table next to the train or something then it just smashes me.

ORC is pretty good. taught me some useful tips... like not getting hit by my own team.

love that game so much. had it for like 2 days (demo) and put like 8 hours into it!! anyone wanna play?

I love this game and preordered it from a local reseller a week ago. So far I've played about 20h+ ever since the demo was released and it's still not boring.

The only thing I really hate is when people on my own team are too damn retarded and shoots me instead of the zombies. I mean, I'm crouching to not get shot, so why the fuck are they shooting me?
