Hardware L button is unresponsive

My joycon fell yesterday, and the L button just stopped working. It didn't fall a large distance, maybe three feet, but it definitely doesn't seem to be damaged in any way. The button isn't jammed or making abnormal sounds. I don't want to send it to Nintendo or buy another one.
