I have some questions about Kernel9LoaderHax (More may come out of your answers):

1. Can we boot rxTools with bootCtr K9LHax edition?
2. Can we load .3dsx's or the hax payload with bootCtr K9LHax edition?
3. Do we have any sort of graphical support? I want to make a bootmii as K9L.
4. With K9LHax, can we make a permanent CFW (Completely Replacing OFW on NAND)?

Hopefully I can get some answers, Q4 might not matter, but I want to know, so we can take over the FIRM (IF possible) and modify it to our liking.

I can help with number 4. with aureinad you can load kernal hax from boot and just boot into sysnand. essentially the same thing as having permanent cfw

Eh. I've never liked modding sysNAND (except the downgrade. I've had the best of luck dg-ing 2 systems. My sys was downgraded twice), and like I said, Q4 didn't matter

  1. No, unless you use the arm9loaderhax branch, which isn't finished yet, and works only on O3DS for the moment
  2. No.
  3. You can do that from the bootloader source, I guess. And read Decrypt9UI's source too, it'll help you if you want to do a GUI.
  4. Yes. But your CFW needs to patch FIRM partitions updating.

You don't mod it for the most part, it mainly just loads sysNAND with signature patches.
There is no point to loading sysnand with sig patches if you don't mod it...

Finally, straight up answers. Thank you. I wasn't expecting us getting the hax payload working. I use old3ds, and I would use it. I don't like aureinand or reinand. I will go look at decrypt9's source. I might just make it load decrypt9, maybe with a theme that looks like my version of "bootmii" (for 3ds... if it works...) or make my "bootmii" text based.

I don't know why you don't... But still take a look at CakesFW. I think you'll like it.

hmm. I like rxtools since I have GBA games and Smash without running separate patches... If CakesFW improves over rxTools, I might switch over.
AuReiNAND can have GBA games, DS/DSi games and Smash without changing patches, actually.

Nope, I never did. rxTools is nice and GBA injects worked with smash without switching patches.
AND I got the GBA boot animation.
Well, you need to patch AGB_FIRM with AuReiNAND, as AuReiNAND doesn't patch Legacy FIRMs. And you don't need to switch patches either.
And the AGB_FIRM can be patched to have the GBA boot animation, too.

I know about that. I've never wanted to risk patching it... plus why fix what ain't broke? (menuhax is broke, due to low boot rate and ~1min long boot times)

You only have to install it on your emuNAND (if you use emuNAND). No need to install that on sysNAND.
