Just opened Launch Edition Disc PlayStation 5

With the recent Kernel Exploit thought it be a good time to open up a launch PS5 and powered it up for the first time since purchase back in November 12, 2020. Removed the console covers and found it came with a DELTA V1 fan and firmware 1.02 (was expecting 1.00 though). Seems best to hold off until more information is released?

They’re cumulative so just 4.50 or 4.51 BUT hold on, don’t update yet… you never know LOWER IS ALWAYS BETTER.

Nice. I'd too keep it at the lowest firmware since your intention is to install a HEN/CFW on it.

Thanks for that link to the firmwares. I'll keep it at 1.02 until final details emerge.
