I installed the official latest firmware, but is it more recommended that I install Akaio? Does it even matter?

Yes. Better support, better compatibility, EZ Flash 3in1 support, more features, wifi update... Read the wiki! The only con: be sure to never put more than 128 files in any folder on your memory card if you use AKAIO, or you will get a lot of file corruption problems.

No more than 128 files/folders DIRECTLY (aka not recursively) in one folder. So you might have, let's say, 200 ROMs: you can't put them all under the "games" folder directly, but you can have folder "part_1" and folder "part_2", both under "games" and containing 100 ROMs each.

Also, remember that each ROM will have its save file, so it doubles the number of files.

ahh yes I was about ask the ROM file & it's save file, so indeed it does double.

But I wonder why this cause an error? I hope they try to fix this. Also, has anyone ever gotten the error before? is there anyway to fix it or is it simply...over?
