hi :P I'm new here, and tired, so I'm sorry if I've messed something up! I recently bought a copy of My Secret World for the DS from a second hand store. It's a diary game aimed at tween girls, I enjoyed the idea of using this random game as my actual journal so I bought it. When I opened it on my 3DS, there was an existing save file (last opened 26 December 2013), but I couldn't access it because I didn't know the 4 digit PIN or the security question. I tried a bunch of super common PINs (like 0000, 1234, 9876 etc) but no luck. I erased the file (my new diary is going strong, it's actually a fun little game), but before I did I saved a backup with Checkpoint of the original save. I'm curious if there's a way of getting around that lock, without just straight up brute forcing? Is there anything I could use to look into this more? Honestly I'm most interested in the process (if it can be done) than the actual diary.

Hi there I just got a R4i 3DS, I was just wondering is there any steps I need to take before downloading games and the cart software just to make sure I don't brick the card or the 3DS ( heard bricking a 3DS can happen )

My 3DS is on software version 2.2.0-4E

Any help would be appreciated.

you can't brick a 3ds with an nds file! the only nds that ould probably brick is r0mloader.nds but you won't use it anyways. what is the website printed on the r4i 3ds? and also remember the r4i 3ds cannot i repeat CANNOT play 3ds games
also hope that your kard is preflashed to work in 2.2 or else its worthless

Format your SDHC card with Panasonic formatter and download the latest kernel from the website on the front of your cart and then download any NDS games you want to play.
