My SD Gecko arrived, but I don't really know what to do with it. The first thing I'd like to do is use it with an Action Replay, so I assume I need to get a disc for that. I have an NTSC Wii with CycloWIZ. Is there a way to use the SD Gecko as a Memory Card? Can I use it to unlock a bunch of stuff in Animal Crossing? What are some cool things I can do with it?

I just ordered one too! Should be here by friday.
And ditto for the questions you asked.

get sdload and burn it as a gc disc.
or.... its on the wiikey setup disc, you can use it from there even tho you have a cyclowiz, doesnt matter as the wiikey setup disc loads in any modded wii/cube.
just pick sdload from the wiikey disc menu, dont worry about not having a wiikey, i use it in my cube as well as my wii

you can load emulators from your sd card, get the .dol files for them from http://gcemu.dcemu.co.uk/.

its a good homebrew site, has also gc homebrew, like cubedoom. doom works straight from the sd card with sd load as well as the other homebrew games.

just remember all gamecube applications you put on the sd card (emu's, homebrew games etc) must be in .dol format.

ps. using it as a memory card is kinda craptacular, it works with jap animal crossing.. and urm... urm.. think thats about it. there may be 1 or 2 more games it works with.

It's just for homebrew stuff, pretty much. Things like the emulators will save their saves/freezes to it. There was a program (mc-something, mcsave, mcload?) that can copy regular game saves from another Gamecube memory card.

With only a SD Gecko and an Action Replay, is it possible to run GC homebrew or GCOS without a modchip?

Does anyone know the name of this program? This is exactly what I have been praying for!

The compressed image of the Action Replay Disc is very small right? Small enough to fit in an e-mail? Which version works with Wii? Thanks for all your help guys and girls!

Off topic and unrelated, my e-mail is SPAM-adent003-SPAM-at-SPAM-hotmail-SPAM

Thats the most subtle thing I have ever seen in my life.
Kudos to you!

I thought that with SD Gecko you could have Gamecube games save directly to the SD card rather than a normal Gamecube memory card. Is that correct?

I still can't find a good torrent for the USA GCN Action replay
