TheKid, I can get the 101 error on my Wii JP, after I used the unpatched version of SMG.

So no black screen anymore.

To avoid double channels, you do the trick that worked for Metroid.

what do you mean by having a 101 error? You had it after inserting for the first time the us version of smg without brickblocking it and roll the update?

Hi, I have a question.

I want to play Metroid prime. I have Wii jap Semi brick (2.2J Big Brain academy), and i update with the update from Super Mario galaxy.

So i have Wii jap NON-Brick now, but i have always the dupe of 2 channels.

Can i play metroid prime ? because this game :

"Causes duplicate weather and news channels.Read here to know how to avoid the duplication and bypass firmware update. "

HELP!!!

I am using uttorent to download wii game for my backups, but i get like 0.5kb/s. When I try to download other normal documents or files, I get like 60kb/s. Please Help. I have also tried many other wii game with many seeders and leechers. THanx in advance.

I was on a semi-brick 2.2J before the update.
I'm using a wiikey and I updated the firmware to 1.9g before I put the smg game inside the wii.

I have a wiikey that I udpated to 1.9g. Then I installed smg firmware, and my settings were working again.
But I have dual channels now, and smg doesnt work. Doesnt matter, I'm happy

Yes. You can update wii firmware to 3.1j using wifi.

I really want to unbrick my Jap Pal wii, do we have to run the wiikey update first? if Im only interested in unbricking the wii? I know if i wanted to play SMG then i have to update the chip's firmware. But do i have to?

Edit: to answer my own question, i was able to unbrick my Jap wii with the game alone. I did not run the 1.9G update, nor did i actually played the game. I only ran the update that was on the game.

Nope. You dont need 1.9g wiikey to unbrick using SMG
