Homebrew jEsesis DS issues...

I am trying to run jEnesisDS v0.7.4 on my AR DSi. I patched it for "Games n' Music" and it does load up. But when I load a game, it freezes.
The README didn't tell me what format the games should be in, so i tried both .bin and .gen, neither one of them worked.
So can someone tell me whats going on here? (Ive seen that jEnesisDS can be run with the AR DSi on Youtube. If you want to see the vid let me know)

Only suggestion I have is to try an older version.

this fix worked on my ds lite with games 'n' music:
you go into settings
you set the system clock to 12:00
you then load this version of jenesisDS

it is worth doing this for the few updates... because 0.6 was the last one to run on G 'n' M without this fix
