Looks like i have two more things i need to know. First off: my firmware is 3.65, will sd2 still work?
2nd: how would i format it?

To be sure I don’t get anything wrong, you got a video guide or something? Also, i double checked, My vita is pch-1000. Dunno if it’s 3G. I really don’t want to end up bricking my vita. I want this to go as smooth as possible
NEVER FOLLOW VIDEO GUIDES

NEVER FOLLOW VIDEO GUIDES
Okay okay! Jeez man! Well in that case, you for a more detailed guide? I CANNOT screw this up so i want to make sure i have every base covered. Sorry if i seem to be a hassle, but, i love the hell out of my vita.

U won't be using the Vita memcard at all
I meant, in the link you sent, it said that when i am setting up my sd2, there’s an option to keep the sony sd inside while using the sd2. Would that then count as a storage device?

should just use yamt if all you intend to use is ux0 and uma. yamt lite specifically. it's faster than storage manager, and you won't need to create a config for it. uma just won't show up if there's no memory card inserted.

Mind giving a tutorial link?

Last question, i bought a 256 gb sd, do you think that’s too small? I bought it because the sd2 description said 256... but one of the first people to show up said they were using a 400 gb?
