So I installed the SX core into my switch. When I first installed it went to an option screen to boot from SX os or to original. I clicked that and it dumped a file to activate my OS, which I did and got the license file on the SD. Now with that on the SD card, when I press the power button it boots up goes to the nintendo logo, then the switch logo, and boots into the original os, and I cannot figure out to get it to boot to the SX OS. Is the chip not installed properly or am I missing something?

Press the Volume Up button while it's booting (during the red SX Core logo) to go to the SX boot menu.

Did you make a backup of your system NAND (back it up somewhere in a zip file and keep it previously) ? Did you make an emuNAND ? You need to do these two things before enabling the emuNAND in the boot menu and booting to the custom firmware.
Making an emuNAND might format your SD card so back up your licence.dat.

In any case if it booted you to the SX boot menu and made you activate, the chip is installed fine.
