strange part is the website I follow for switch that was the first hit on google is still up
and you can still find every rom on lots of website, what is hard thought is romhacks, I'm searching for somes right now :/

I think it's only if using official code. homebrew is fine unless it's based off of official code like system config tool for example.

It's a Mario Kart Wii mod that my brother had on his Wii circa 2013. (Unfortunately that Wii is long gone) I never installed it myself, but I figured it would be its own file, not a modified ISO. Of course now that I can't find it, I have no way of knowing.

It definitely isn't that. I just installed and played CTGP today, which got me thinking about the Mario Kart Wii mod I'd played years ago.

It had a lot of dumb custom stuff. Dubstep music, coca-cola tracks, "broken cup" cup, and I specifically remember a pic of Mario smoking weed on the initial Wii strap screen. I can link to videos of it and the original reddit post the creator made, just not on this site. (of course the download links are dead, or I wouldn't be writing this)

If it was made recently then I would assume the mod would only contain its own files, judging by the mario kart wii mods I've found. But it was made 9 years ago according to the reddit post, and I don't know how mario kart wii mods were distributed back then.

All the leak sources I've seen, none of which were active, seem to imply this romhack takes the full ripped version of the base Mario Kart Wii game.

Edit - I think I've hit the limits of GBAtemp's ToS. My parting advice to you @wiimaster9000 is to ask around at a different related wii gaming / romhack forum or medium (discord?) that's more flexible about these things. Just not this one. Good luck with your search!

Not a chance Switch has sold 52 million. You don't have to be desperate for money to try to stop someone from pirating your own material. The movies that get torrented and you get a notice for them are often the ones who made the most money.

With some these sites being open for 15 years. im not exactly impressed by their lazy ass actions now. perhaps within the first few months may of shown they truely cared of their content. not 15 years later.
