i want to softmod my 4.3e wii but i dont really want to go out and buy indiana jones for an inflated price. is it possible to swap drives with my friends modded console and exploit with a backup of the game. or is it possible to downgrade with the modded drive?

just rent it or buy and return it to gamestop. Gamefly has a free trial you can use. Swapping the drives if a very bad idea if you don't know what your doing, and I assume if you are asking about this your just starting hacking the wii.
