Hardware Is this a good computer?

There wasn't much of a price difference in the E6300 and E6550 and they had a free shipping special on most of the things I ordered (only paid about $12.50 TOTAL shipping on everything including the monitor) so I figured I did pretty good.

Wow, I did say I overclocked it to 3 GB didn't I...

Build it yourself but put in a better graphics card, and install XP instead of Vista.

why would you build it yourself, with a better graphics card (assuming its decent) then install XP over vista?
any core2 system with 2gb of ram can run vista with ease, and very well at that.
at that point vista becomes a better operating system than XP.

Unfortunately high performance requirements aren't Vista's only downside.
