Im busy at work right now, not really time to go over your specific situation but read over my guide. Do you already have HBC installed? Assuming no.. so you would require twilight princess in this case for whatever region your wii is set to.

If you still want the files, read the first line of my TUT

nice reply

Nope, no HBC. Did before the format, but not now.

So yeah, if I can't run game discs (Twilight Princess), I can't run the Twilight Hack, so I'm screwed no matter what. I guess the only answer is to repair it/get a new one.

if you didn't ever do a region change, you prolly just need a power cycle.....just completely cut power from the wii for like 2 minutes. full unplug

when you start it again, start it by not having it turned on, and inserting a disc to turn it on, then immediately running the disc ASAP.

Did that, still no go.

it's very likely you're overlooking something you should be telling us, especially if you didn't do a region change.

are you saying that you can't run a RETAIL twilight princess?

Right, whenever I say game disc, I am referring to a retail version of it. I only tried one or two burned games on the system.

I've never manually changed my region, so unless the loader can do that without you knowing...

wierd, I have no idea man.

basically, (except for formatting, dumb-dumb) you didn't do anything you shouldn't have.

very strange....try one more thing...
try putting a burnt disc in, let it try to load, then swap it out for a retail.

I'm beginning to see a lot of similar stories that are leading me to this conclusion:

"formatting on 3.4 is somewhat broken, by fault of nintendo themselves."

do not test for me, just a thought.

you might be correct bro , many people tried to format on 3.4 have issues !!!!!!!

yeah, which just reinforces my "never format ever" stance.

I'm thinking it really is that "formatting" on 3.4 is broken in some way, possibly in a way that only takes effect if you have installed something "unofficial"

I've talked to.....people....about this kinda thing before....hmmm.
