Hacking Is my RCM Jig defective?

I bought the X kit RCM jig and I think it may be defective. I had assumed from all of the pictures that I simply move the thing to on and it pops the pins out. However, my jig seems like a single piece of plastic with metal embedded in it, and nothing moves at all. Where I thought there were two pieces, it seems like they are in fact totally fused together, as though they were only meant to be a single piece. Is my jig defective?

Most jigs are just a single piece of plastic with two metal pieces that you slide down the joy con rail. I personally use this as my jig.

If you don't like jigs, you can always install AutoRCM instead. That's what I always do.
