Hacking is it possible to play backups without a modchip?

sorry if its a dumb question but my cousin has a unmodded wii and he would like to play some of my backups

so it possible through some kind of program to play backups?

Yes. Use the guide in my sig if you want to play backups on an unchipped wii (there are other loaders out there as well, Gamma is one of the most popular)

honestly, its good to have so many people around here knowing about the backup launcher and helping newcomers by guiding them, but you may not forget: the more (wrong) people know about it

(or: the more popular it gets, the harder the Nintendo and franchise guys will try to stop it. so its kind of difficult finding the balance between spreading the wealth and getting fu**ed)
