Hardware Is 2MB Cluster Size for a 4TB HDD overkill?

I bought a 4TB HDD for video storage. Windows offers me to format it with 2MB (MegaBytes) cluster size/allocation unit size. I'm aware that the larger the cluster size, the better the performance in theory. I don't care about potentially wasted space since the HDD is for videos only. Is 2MB overkill tho? Any potential issues such a large cluster size would bring?

Is there a reason you want to go 2 MB and no 1 MB or 512 KB? will it be using MBR or GPT? Because Windows 10 apparently has issues with drives if you're formatting them to use MBR over 2 TB, so it has to be formatted to GPT as far as I know. I personally wouldn't go over 512 K

Well I wanted the best performance for the drive and since I read that the larger the cluster size the better the performance I thought about selecting the largest cluster size supported, which is 2MB. Drive is GPT.

IDK enough to know what the max cluster size is, just use your gut and don't go overboard?

Well you need figure out the correct cluster size you need, use the wrong size it will show your HDD available storage size being off.
