there is a lot more homebrew out there then what was tested for this review. infact that very small sample hardly represents the nds homebrew scene. i would like to see 30 or more homebrew projects tested. this card, after all, boasts an ability for homebrew, yet hardly anything was tested.

also the gba emu there should be a mention as to what roms were tested, what worked, what didn't. just putting it in green means it works but with no real description. that emu has played a big part in the sales of this kit. i understand that the inner workings of a homebrew project are out of the scope of any review, but this review has an emu specificially coded for that 1 card. this section of the review should be expanded upon.

I guess this could be useful for people who like to watch vids on tiny DS screens. I think the cart is more useful as a GBA ROM player for DSi systems more than anything else. The fact that it doesn't play commercial ROMs is kind of a showstopper for me, but I guess that is what the SCDS2 will be for....and I don't have a DSi to need one anyway.

One thing I'd like to know is since the cart has a special chip in it to handle all these extra features, how much faster does it kill the batteries? This applies to the SCDS2 also. I remember when I first got my CycloDS I was kinda disappointed at how fast it sucked down the batteries compared to my old R4. That problem was fixed by TC with their Battery Saver mode, but it still kills batteries faster than my crusty old R4 ever did. I imagine this iPlayer cart will be a real battery killer, even worse than the CycloDS with battery saver mode turned off.

Well written review. I'd just like to know how long the battery lasts on average. The typical 700mb avi movies with 50% or 100% volume.
