Hi guys,

I was reading about the new developments and since my wii was gathering dust somewhere in a corner i decided i was gonna give this VC hack a try.

I think I read all the instructions right but every time shortly after the twilighthack it doesn't detect my SD card

Well, I bought a new SD card ( a sandisk ) and repeated the whole procedure. Sadly I'm still getting the message: No SD card detected in slot A after the twilight hack.

Anyone have a suggestion how to make the wii detect my SD card?

( I formatted to FAT(16), even downloaded a special SD formatting program, without luck so far )

hints/tips/tricks are welcome.

bye

[UPDATE]
A helpful guy from another site advised me tot get the latest version of the twilight hack and that fixed the problem
this version: Twilight_hack_0.1_alpha3a did it for me!

Hi there! I have a strange issue that it seems noone has ..when I try to install a game, everything works fine, the VC channel installes properly, but when I start it all I get is a black screen and when I press "home" i can see the game stopped in background. I've tried SMB and DK2 and I have the same problem with both. Any ideas?? Ive tried wab installer 1.1 and 1.0 and I tried to redownload both games but nothing unsure.gif I've also tried to delete the channels and download them from the Wii Shop, everything goes fine but I still can't play them, I just get a black flikering screen frown.gif

Are you sure you have a PAL wii? These releases are for PAL systems not NTSC-U or J.

Yes it's PAL!

how come it only works with PAL wii's? Is there a way for it to work with american wiis?

Because they people who dumped the VC Games are from Europe, hence the reason the games are in PAL.

No, there is no way to get them to work with american wii's.

I have no clue.

This is how things work:
1. Dump a VC game.
2. Pack a VC game.
3. Utilize the TP hack to boot the installer elf file.

(Unfortunately, there is no packer for NTSC-U games just yet.)

Give the community a chance to dump some NTSC-U games and pack them. The installer DOES work on all wii's, which is why we can install homebrew, but the VC games must also match the region of the Wii to install.

This is all just what I've read, however I wouldn't post it unless I were sufficiently positive.

i hope a wad packer comes out shortly....the flood of vc games will be imense.

In theory is it possible to make a wad file that instead of consisting of the entire vc game consists entirely of multiple vc game tickets, then we'd be free to pick n choose what we download from the wii store

That's what I was thinking.

are you using a component cable?

That's pretty strange. Have you ever tried legit VC games? Maybe you should try the Opera channel (if you don't have it yet) and see if you get the same problem or it's just for actual VC.

I find it pretty surprising that there hasn't been an NTSC WAD packer released. I give it to the end of the week at latest.

People using a hack in order to hit the shop channel and download 'free' VC games have some balls on them I must say. Your IP address is there on show in their logs, you may as well leave your phone number there too.

There are software houses using the torrents with false files that report your ip address and sand it to them in order to catch people downloading their stuff for free and you've all just gave Nintendo your IP without them even having to lift a finger.

They could find out your ISP within 10 seconds using a quick whois search, one phone call later, they know who you are. It would take them literally minutes to catch you.

Unless I'm missing something drastically here.

Yeah but you could easily enough say that you bought the wii from someone else etc. Excuses are easy, theres nothing they can really do but try to block it through an update.
