and also, where to you find ores, like iron and bronze

Go into Carmite Cave, hit the rocks in there twice with your hammer to get an ore, when you've got an ore go into the blacksmiths shop and get him to forge you a tool, I think the Hammer is 4 pieces of Iron and 2 days, not 100% sure though.

It actually says it on the top screen when you select the seeds in your inventory, it also shows it on the top screen when going to buy the seeds on the bottom left corner of the top screen.

Just checked a website, 14 days, and regrows in 3.

It's a status effect. Though I'm not sure which one it is. Just go the clinic and have a check up to get it removed.
