Ok so before anyone thinks I broke my joycons, no. It’s my first time, but I was being careful, no ribbon cables were broke, stripped backplate, etc. I wanted to install metal locks in my joycons because plastic ones are badly chipped. The tool kit I got came with the locks, and the tool kit, however I’m trying to get this Phillips head to work, it’s not wanting to turn the screw inside at all and it isn’t stripped either. I look at the amazon listing and all I see are great reviews on how this solved all their problems, but I can’t figure out why I can’t pull out this stupid Phillips head. I’d really appriciate any help, I really don’t wanna go through returning it for a refund, it already took half a month as a prime member just to get the package. The tru-wing works just fine btw. No stripped screws either. If y’all have any ideas please let me know, I don’t think a rubber band can solve this one.

Just to make sure, you already opened the joycon right?? Cause the first screws you have to go through are try wing screws.

For the Philips ones have you tried a different screwdriver?? The small ones that come with the kits usually aren't good ones. Maybe you can try a drop of oil and let it rest for half an hour and try again.

Yeah I opened the joycon using the tru wing, I’m talking about the Phillipheads connecting the joycon rail to the backplate and the one over the spring lock mechanism

This is my first time having hands on with any kind of opening, i thought it would be pretty simple to do, and it was, but I don’t have spare tools laying around because of it. That and I’m kinda tight on money
