Gaming Ice Age 3

Hi guys, i've been trying to figure this one out for ages, i'm on the chaper "Expect The Unexpected" where you play as Buck, and at the part of the chaper im stuck at, you have to swing off a cliff edge onto a vine hook with the whip but then there is nowhere else to go because there are roocks on the vines??
ive been stuck for days! Help meeeee.
