    Hi
Should I buy ps3 fat that is compatible with ps2 dvd and ps1 cd or should I buy real ps1 and ps2 because they will last longer due to ps3 fat gets yellow light of death with age?

I found locally fat ps3 that plays 1&2 disks for very cheap price $150 usd.

    Hello.:)

Real Hardware is really the "best" Feeling.
If you have the Storage/Room/Space,then please.

Also for the actual Exploits maybe to "enjoy":

Well technically speaking, the earlier PS3 PHAT models which were backwards compatible with the PS2 (disks), had real PS2 hardware in them, so it's real hardware if we take it like that. :P Later models that still could read disks had only the PS2 CPU in them and emulated the GPU, and the ones that didn't read disks and played only the PSN classics used full emulation. As for PS1, every PS3 supports PS1 disks.
So for convenience, I'd suggest the PS3, just so you don't have to deal with annoying controller cables and don't have to hassle with the very limited save game storage...with the PS3 HDD you have like unlimited storage for your PS1/2 games...and one last thing is the PS3 is compatible with both new and old TVs, so if you have only a new HD TV, you don't have to go out and search for an older TV to play your original PS2/1.
While I agree with you, that the actual hardware is the real deal, I myself have the PS2, but for convenience I use my PS3 for all the PS1/2/3 games. :)

Now quoting the OP, $150 isn't bad for what you got there, pretty good deal. I don't know why, but here, where I live, people are basically giving PS3 away....there are listings for as low as $40-$50 for fully functional, great condition PS3s...I don't know...maybe people just don't know what they're selling and want to make a quick buck from them....I bought my PS3 with an extra controller, the Move set with camera and 6 extra games with $90. The seller said that it was his son's console and he doesn't use it anymore, so he's selling it because it's just collecting dust....I was more than happy to get rid of it for him.

PS1 is possibly the best looking console of all time so that's a good enough reason. I just got an XStation ODE for mine today (even though I have a PS3) and it's pretty amazing.

I have a serious love for original consoles though so it's worth it to me, whereas for other people they might only be interested in the actual games so it doesn't matter.

I was always a Nintendo fanboy but everyone else in my family dropped Nintendo like an egg after the SNES and went with Playstation after that. So I have a lot of fond memories on the original Playstation. It's an ugly beast, but it has the 90's retro charm goin on too. I always wished Sony had supported colored cases officially (other than dev kits and Net Yaroze consoles) because I liked the look but hated the color. I loved the PSOne though. It was cute.

I'm pretty fond of my Playstation Classic. The available exploits definitely made it a console worth picking up. Especially when Target had them for $15.

How crazy was that price, I got one for £15 too and now they are frequently going for £75+. It was kinda awful at release but easily the best mini console now once hacked.

I was a Sega kid though so we might be sworn enemies ;-)

As a long time researcher, I will say a few things. It's going to come down to your budget.

Now that the PS2 Mechapwn is out, plus usage of cd-rs, you are going to have the most versatile 1:1 experience possible. I would run PS2 games off the HDD when possible to save your laser grief, save the DVD-Drive for PS1 and finicky games that don't run off HD.

If you can afford a PS1 and these two consoles, then you should be sure that you want the best 1:1 raw experience possible. You're going to want to upgrade the AV cables to component at the very least.

For the PS1, you're going to want XStation as well. The PSIO is good, but the feature set they promised still hasn't lived up.

No way. I, too, was a Sega kid, but not until the Dreamcast. I played the Genesis at friends houses but never owned one. The Dreamcast was my official foray into "piracy" when it was brought to my attention that certain DC consoles could play backup games on burned CD-R's and I owned one. Everyone else was playing a PS2 while I never paid for a game at all lol. (Granted, I missed a LOT of games on the PS2 that I'm currently trying to go back and play.)

I was a sega kid too due to disney movies and tv shows. Disney made me want to play with their characters on tv but I didnt know about saving progress so I saw video games as rewinded cartoon that I cant skip so I wasnt a gamer kid. Pokemon made me a real gamer.
