I beg for your help!! I've searched the forums for close to a month without any luck.

I have a older Wii running 4.2U. I softmodded it EONS ago successfully - running all games off a Maxtor 100GB USB drive. Life was good.

Then I decided to update my WADs so I could play games like Skyward Sword. Everything worked - Life was good.

Then I ripped Rune Factory 4 - and things went south. First my SD card for whatever reason became corrupt - or at least something with the file system did. Popped it into my PC and it was completely blank. Used ModMii to rebuild the files and grab all the latest WADs and followed the instructions on installing them into the correct slots. I though life was good.

Now I had close to 20-25 games on the USB drive. All of them PLAYED correctly - now - barely any of them do.

Games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Kirby Dream Collection play just fine.

Paper Mario, Kirby Return to Dreamland, Super Smash Bros (and many more)- don't. They begin to load - but the Wii remote instantly turns off and never get to the game screen. Just the safety instructions. This is with USB Loader GX. Cfg USB Loader doesn't even get that far.

Everything I've read made me think it was a bad WAD, and I've reinstalled everything I can think of - different versions of d2x. I thought it could be a bad HD - but I burned some of the games to DVD and tried loading them with NeoGamma - but the same effects.

Here's the sysCheck - PLEASE I'M LOSING MY MIND ON THIS!!! THANKS!!!!

Awesome - not sure if that will fix it - but I'll reinstall homebrew channel tonight.

Which version of IOS58 should I be running? rev 6176 or rev 6175? Does it even matter?

I'm going to also completely delete all USB loaders and reinstall the latest version to make sure nothing was screwed up there.

No go. Reinstalled Home brew channel on IOS56. Deleted all USB Loader GX files and reinstalled the latest version and still no go.

Most games will start up - display the Wii Remote safety strap screen - then the wii remotes turn off and the screen goes black.

All the games worked previously. Any help would be appreciated.

i am having this same issue as well and currently searching for ways to fix it. i have found that starting the games with ios223mload allows me to play most games fine but not all, looking at your syscheck you seem to have all the right cios installed and that was what my next attempt at fixing mine was to reinstall ios with different bases to get the usb support working again for music games and 248 working again as thats the auto selection on my usb loader, cfgusb.

the only differences between our syschecks starting from the top
i am on SM 4.3U
i have homebrew on ios58
i only have one stub (ios4)
i gave deleted ios10
i have deleted ios16
my ios 36 say no patches for some reason, i have patched and installed ios236 in the past but modmii removed it and i never reapplied it
i have deleted ios51
i do not have ios245 installed
i do not have ios246 installed
my ios247: base 57 (rev 21006, info d2x-v6) trucha, nand, usb...
my ios248: base 56 (rev 21006, info d2x-v6) trucha, nand, usb...
my ios249: base 56 (rev 21008, info d2x-v8final).....
250 base 57 (rev 21008, info d2x-v8final) yadda yadda
if its not listed its the exact same as yours (minus system specific info)

going to try to match your syscheck with my system to see if that solves my issue, games no longer booting with ios248, this problem only started after installing the d2x cios, i did that update to try to enable usb support for my guitar hero and rock band games with no luck, only another problem, and i didnt have a syscheck to know what to go back to.

if you have any links to downloads that might b helpful please post em up or send em to me in a message, trying to build a bullet proof system here and i was so close i could almost taste it

You could try using ModMii to redownload all IOS/system menu WADs and reinstall them for your current firmware?

gunna use modmii and run it like a brand new system hack, then reinstall hermes cios and d2x differently to try to fix that usb support on the music games

If you're still having problems after trying to rehack with modmii you probably want to do a Wii system format and then run modmii again, worked for me when my friend bought a used Wii and it was having problems loading games. Be sure to backup your save files first, though. Also if your sd card is being corrupted it may be time for a new one, I hacked a buddies Wii once and every time I tried ripping a game it would not finish and the sd card would get corrupted and say it had 8gb of data on it, even though it was a 2gb card. I slapped one of my sd cards in and it worked fine after that.

ok i got my usb support back

downloaded ios 202 & 222-224 (hermes/rodries 5.1) from modmii download page 4
downloaded ios 249 & 250 with d2x-v8final from modmii download page 4
installed all 6 wads using MMM

all games working so far with configurable usb loader, vr51, havnt tried newest v65 yet

still not loading any games using ios 248/249/250

my loader auto selects ios248 and i cannot change it (configurable my ass right?)

have to change settings under every game to load from 223mload and i dont think i should have to do that

if anyone has any advise or has found any fixes please let us know.
