Hi guyz,

Just wondering has anyone tried this below, it only works if you have DS lite and 3DS

1. Close your 3DS and leave it on sleep mode
2. Then put your 3DS on your DS lite (either on or off)

After that you can see your 3DS blue light is no longer flashing and become solid blue.
When you flip open your 3DS you will find out it is already on.

So weird, is it just my 3DS?...

Happened to mine, just tested that now. Weird. Magnets probably. No magnet jokes, please.

Yeah, it's kind of like how if you do that with two DS Lites (Or DSis), the top one's screens turn off.

Once again, because of the magnets. Pretty cool though, I'm going to try it out.

magnets?? Wait, there's magnets in a ds/3ds??? Would this be dangerous to those who use a pacemaker???

It's a magnetic thing, apparently.
I have see & hear it too.
This is why it's happening:
The magnetic field of the ds lite disturbs the one of the 3ds.

So don't do it much or he 'll break.

Kind Regards,

Nintendo already warns to turn off wifi around pacemakers to avoid disrupting them, they didn't say anything about magnets though.

no. To weak magnet. It's like a magnet you have on your refrigator to hold small paper notes, probably even weaker than that.

Lmao, they're magnets. If you put the DSi and 3DS after, move it a little and the screens will turn on

and start to do sounds XDDDD

Same thing happens with the DSi. They use a magnet to detect if it's closed or not and it sets off a failsafe that stops the DSi and 3DS from being fried around magnets.

Magnets are on the speaker, I believe.
