Just bought this off the eshop. Only played the first 20 minutes and I love it already.

Anyone else bought it and what are your thoughts?

No spoilers please.
Good to know. I'm waiting for USFII, RiME, XV2, IAS and a few others to have their prices dropped slightly over in Europe. £59.99? What a joke! I know that's just a placeholder price but it's still absurd!

The Game Collection has USFII for £34.95 but if it knocks down to £24.99 it'd be a must. I'm curious about the first person mode. :)

I Ain't paying $40 for street fighter either. Mean while the ones on ps3 and xbox live is only $10, adding 2 extra characters, dramatic battle, and some other modes to a game which was probably finished before year 2000 is not worth that much of a price increase, in my opinion, i still think digital games should be cheaper than retail, it cost less to have than making carts for it, and as much as we pay already for internet, and storage devices AND online services for the game consoles, at LEAST reduce price of digital content, it would encourage people to buy it more, and i know for a fact that companies do want people to buy digital content over retail ones.

Simply cause there is no chance of resell which they don't earn any money from and companies like gamestop can keep making money off of it.

I think sony try to do that but stop.
It was suppose to be X amount of precent off digital vs hard copy.

So if a hard copy was 59.99 the digital would be 54.99
I know its not a big jump but i do remember sony saying something like that.

Ans yea gamestop makes a killing kn resells while devs dont get that money. But what is the world to do, dlc that is later into the year normally makes people keep the game vs selling it once they beat it. But other then that nothing can be done for the resell of games. If you dont get rip off from gamestop your just end up selling it on ebay or something.
Money on your pocket, someone gets a cheaper priced game, but no more money for the devs

Its a hard world we live in lol.....

And yea street figher would sell alot better at $10 to $15 people would just but it because its cheap and another game to play

It's a really old game so they shouldn't be charging $39.99 for it, but around $24.99-$29.99 would be more reasonable and it would attract customers.

Disgaea is not a square enix game, is a nippon ichi software game and published by NIS america, Square has nothing to do with disgaea series.

So just curious, in the options for the system if i change to japanese, i can access the japan store? What about when it ask me for area code?

Hmm I could have sworn it was published by square, I guess I was thinking of Dragonquest maybe. Square is listed as an EU publisher for at least one of the disgaea games...

You don't have to change the area code just the region.

Well yeah dlc sells a lot better (Look at DEAD OR ALIVE 5) :creep:

It used to be when they would have online passes sold with games so that would discourage reselling games, but they stopped that when people hated it.

To be honest the games so far on switch are priced kinda high
  • 1-2- Switch = SHOULD BE FREE (INCLUDED WIth the system like wii sports, same should have went for wii u and nintendo land)
  • Super Bomberman R = No higher than $20 (I'm sorry but that game has been out of production for over a decade and a new game suddenly is $50, that is ridiculous, especially since the most used feature of the game is either local play mode or online multiplayer, a bomberman game with a very good single player mode may be worth $40-$60 But is just no one thinks of bomberman for one player modes.)
  • Shovel knight Treasure trove = $25, probably is expected (it has four player mode and such but i mean is it exclusive to switch or not? If playstation and xbox gets it, somehow it still makes it inferior cause of the god of war and battletoads situation vs the amiibo function. But again, is just for how i see it right now. I bought the $25 dollar price to support the company, i enjoy the game and hope to see more.)
  • Neo geo games = Don't care what it is, should be $5 ($8? does it even have online mode? PS4 neo geo games have online mode, and they were done by code mystics, not arcade hamster or whatever they are called.)
I can go on about what i think the price of games should be, but this is just for digital only content. Retail i don't comment on as much, but street fighter 2 is not worth $40 compared to the offerings of the last innovation or the fact is OVER 20 YEARS OLD. There is a lot of greed going on somewhere with these prices.:glare:

So far blaster master zero is the only other game than shovel knight with a decent price tag. Is good, fun and i like it, and $10, hoping maybe a sequel or DLC for it come soon. :)

@Sonic Angel Knight
I agree with thw pricing.
I got 1-2 switch by force (gamestop bundle)
Its pretty cool and shows off the joycons but could of been included. But then again people might conplain that thw game is making the system higher priced.

But they could of at lest made 1-2switch a $29 game.
Same for bomberman.
I paid with some discounts but still it should be as high as it is.

But this has been going on for a while. Games arent always priced correctly.

And dont get me started on EA price cuts. They suck when you pay full price for a game then a few months later they slash the price of digital only.

Super niche title, played it on steam and it reminds me of the really cheap fantasy PSP titles where you some young guy in a village and you grandpa dies or something and you have to go on an adventure.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
